Arab street vendors, cold painted bronze figures, Bruno Zach, c. 1920.

£2,400.00

A fine pair of Austrian cold painted bronze figures, Bruno Zach, Vienna, c. 1920.
Each figure cast as Arab street vendors, wearing traditional dress, and offering drinks, served from large rope bound urns. Standing on square bronze bases, set upon onyx mounts to create bookends.
The details picked out in cold enamel paints, gilt and silvering to the shoes.

Signed – ‘B. Zach’. ‘Argentor Wien’, to both bases.

Height – 24.5 cm, 9 5/8”.

Width – 13 cm, 5 1/8”.

Depth – 11 cm, 4 3/8”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No repair.

These figures would display as solely bronze studies, by simply unscrewing them from the onyx bases. Or, they have a practical use as bookends… it is for you to decide how best to display this striking pair of figures.
