Coalport porcelain fruit basket, Regency period, c. 1820. The large dish set upon a rectangular pedestal foot, and applied with twin gilt branch handles, terminating with bunches of grapes. Hand painted to the centre with a large spray of flowers, within a broad and elaborate border of gilt scrollwork.
The pedestal painted with further sprays of flowers, and similarly gilded.
Pattern number ‘162’ to the underside.
Length – 32.5 cm, 12 3/4”.
Height – 13.5 cm, 5 3/8”.
Depth – 23.5 cm, 9 1/4”.
Condition – Very minor wear to the gilt and overglaze enamels. No damage. No restoration.
