Copeland porcelain reticulated plate, ‘Church of St. Giorgio Maggiore, Venice’, c. 1890. Finely hand painted to the centre, with a view of boats on the canal, before the church of St.Giorgio Maggiore, Venice. Within a reticulated border, on a turquoise ground, heightened in gilt.
Titled ‘Church of St. Giorgio Maggiore, Venice’.
Printed factory marks, and pattern number ‘D 1625’ in iro red script to the reverse.
Diameter – 22.5 cm, 8 7/8”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
