English pottery Slipware baking dish, late 18th Century. The plain edged, brown glazed dish, trailed in creamy yellow slip, with a wriggled, trellis design, beneath a thick, crazed glaze.
The underside baked black.
Staffordshire or Northern England.
Height: 22.5 cm, 8 7/8”.
Width: 29 cm, 11 1/2”.
Depth: 3.5 cm, 1 3/8”.
Condition: Crack to rim, but now secure. Please see images for detail.
