Fine Pair of Imari Porcelain Bijin, circa 1690, Genroku Period
A fine pair of Japanese Imari Bijin, late 17th century, Genroku Period (1688-1704). Both figures modelled, standing with their left hands raised to their chests, whilst their right hands clutch their robes. Their kimonos, elaborately painted with hates running between fences, beneath flowering trees. Both bijin with their hair in combs.
Unglazed bases.
