Japanese porcelain Imari bowl, Arita, c. 1890, Meiji Period. The interior of the bowl well painted with a panel of a phoenix flying above a mountainous river landscape, and a panel of flowering plants.
The exterior similarly painted, beneath bands of textile motif.
Diameter – 25 cm, 9 7/8”.
Height – 11.5 cm, 4 1/2”.
Condition – Typical minor wear to the gilding. No damage. No restoration.
