Imari porcelain dish, Arita, Japan, c. 1700, Genroku Period. Painted with a a central panel, containing a large urn containing flowers, on a garden terrace.
The border with shaped panels of flowering plants, divided by floral scroll, on an underglaze blue ground.
Decorated in typical Imari colours, heightened in gilt.
The reverse with sprigs of flowers, and having spur marks within an unglazed foot rim.
Diameter – 26.5 cm, 10 1/2”.
Depth – 4 cm, 1 5/8”.
Condition – Typical minor age wear to the gilding. No damage. No restoration.
