Indian Kutch reticulated silver pierced dish, c. 1890.
A fine Indian Kutch reticulated silver salver. Having a central circular cartouche, edged with a continuous band of acanthus leaf. Surrounded by a finely reticulated, complex design of scrolling foliage, terminating in flowerheads, in Islamic style, and extending to a scroll worked rim. Set upon four ball feet. Diameter – 20 cm, 7 7/8”.
