Japanese Imari porcelain fish, serving dish, Arita, c. 1890, Meiji Period. The large dish, shaped, in lightly moulded relief, as a carp. Painted with various textile motif, of flowers, plants, and stylised waves.
Length – 36 cm, 14”.
Depth – 24.5 cm, 9 5/8”.
Height – 6 cm, 2 3/8”.
Condition: No damage. No restoration.
