Meissen porcelain figural salt, c. 1870. Modelled as a young boy, wearing 18th Century costume, holding a bunch of flowers, whilst seated between two large whicker baskets.
The baskets painted with sprigs of flowers, and set upon an oval, rocaille moulded base, edged in gilt.
Underglaze blue crossed swords mark, and incised model number ‘3024’ to the underside.
Width – 14.5 cm, 5 3/4”.
Height – 13.5 cm, 5 1/4”.
Depth – 8.2 cm, 3 1/4”.
Condition – Excellent. No restoration.
