Pair of Meissen porcelain vases, c. 1870. The krater shaped vases, finely modelled in Capodimonte style, with ‘con basso rilievo istoriato’ moulded scenes of Bacchanalian revelry,in relief.
Set upon seperately moulded spreading circular feet.
Decorated in vibrant enamels, and heightened in gilt.

Blue crossed swords marks to all pieces, incised model number ‘698’ to both vases.

Height – 27.5 cm, 10 7/8”.

Diameter – 22 cm, 8 5/8”.

Condition – Excellent.
