Pair of Chinese cloisonne bowls and covers, 19th century, Qing dynasty. Both bowls enameled with the ‘Eight Buddhistic Symbols’, in gilt wires, on a turquoise ground, within gilt metal panels, and continuous ruyi head, and lappet borders. Having gilt metal mask heads, holding ring handles.
The covers similarly decorated.
Measures: Height – 11 cm, 4 3/8”.
Diameter – 15.2 cm, 6”.
Condition – Some chipping to the turquoise enamel, and wear to the gilding, commensurate with age. No repair.
