Pair of Staffordshire pottery Spaniels, c. 1845. This exceptionally well modelled version of Spaniels, with particularly well defined curly hair, broad backsides, separately moulded front legs and tails.
Decorated with liver red enamel spots, feathered at the edges, yellow eyes, the dogs wear gilt collars and lockets.
This particular pair of dogs are the unusual medium sized example of this fine model.
Height – 19.5 cm, 7 3/4”.
Width – 16 cm, 6 1/4”.
Depth – 12 cm, 4 3/4”.
Condition – Minor wear to the gilding. Otherwise excellent condition.
