Vienna porcelain dish, Betterlin, signed Klinger, c. 1900. Finely hand painted to the centre, with a titled portrait of a young girl with brunette hair, ‘Betterlin’. The cobalt blue border, gilded and enamelled with a continuous band of floral scroll, in Art Nouveau style.

Signed – Klinger.

Underglaze blue Beehive mark, and title ‘Betterlin’ to the reverse.

Diameter – 24 cm, 9 1/2”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
