Ballooning. Unusual Viennese enamel box, c. 1890.

An unusual and large Viennese enamel box and cover, c. 1890. The egg shaped box and hinged cover, painted with scenes of figures in 18th Century costume, in parkland settings, observing hot air balloons in the sky.

Having gilt metal mounts.
