Bristol porcelain figure of a boy, c. 1775.

A rare Richard Champions Bristol porcelain figure, c. 1775. The hard paste porcelain figure, finely modelled as a young boy wearing 18th Century costume. He supports his dog, which he has placed upon a tree stump; amusingly, the dog spirts the boys feathered hat.

Set upon a shaped grassy mound base, with a ‘squared’ blow hole to the underside.

Width: 6 cm, 2 3/8”.

Depth: 5.5 cm, 2 1/8”.

Condition: Repair to boys neck, finger, and feathers on the hat.
