Bronze ‘ Panthère Couchée tenant un cerf muntjac’, Alfred Louis Barye,1796 – 1875, Paris, France. The panther, recumbent, with its catch, on a grassy mound base. Original patination, and set upon a rectangular, serpentine marble base.
Signed BARYE to the rear of the mound base.
Length – 23 cm, 9 1/8”.
Height – 12 cm, 4 3/4”.
Depth – 10.1 cm, 4”.
Condition – No damage. No repair.
