Carl Thieme, Dresden, porcelain plate, c. 1900. Beautifully, hand painted to the centre with a portrait of a young girl, with flowing blonde hair, wearing a diaphanous gown, and a large gold bracelet.
The moulded border, elaborately gilded with grape vines, between lustrous panels, gilded with berries, all upon a cobalt blue ground.
Painted and printed marks to the reverse.
