A fine Chelsea porcelain silver form dish, c. 1760. The deeply moulded oval dish, having shell handles. Beautifully hand painted, in vibrant enamels, with a large exotic bird, amongst dense foliage.
All within a turquoise feather edged rim, the shell picked out in puce, and heightened in gilt.
Gold Anchor mark to the underside. Three spur marks, and factory ground foot rim.
Width – 21 cm, 8 1/4”.
Depth – 17 cm, 6 5/8”.
Condition – Extremely minor wear to the gilt – please see images for detail. No damage. No restoration.
