Chinese cloisonné Hu shaped vase, 18th Century. The large pear shaped vase decorated in Ming style, with a continuous scene of flowering plants, including lotus in a river, against Greek key fret, on a turquoise ground.
The neck with bats and continuous floral scroll, between Ruyi head motif to the shoulder and the gilt metal rim.
Set upon a circular foot, decorated with further floral scroll, beneath a lappet border.
Height – 33.5 cm, 13 1/4”.
Diameter – 23 cm, 9 1/8”.
Condition – Typical pitting to the enamel, and wear to the gilding.
