Chinese gilt bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni,early 18th Century. The Buddha, seated in dhyanasana, upon a double lotus base. His hands in bhumisparsamudra, and dhyanamudra.
He wears a flowing robe, over his left shoulder, neatly gathered beneath his crossed legs.
His face has a serene expression, whilst his head is surmounted by a curled headdress, and ushnisha.
Traces of original gilt, and blue enamel.
Height – 11.6 cm, 4 5/8”.
Width – 7 cm, 2 3/4”.
Depth – 4.7 cm, 1 7/8”.
Condition – Wear to the gilt and blue enamel. No damage. No repair.
