Chinese ‘Luohan’ bell shaped mug, c. 1760. Qianlong Period.

Chinese porcelain bell shaped ‘Luohan’ mug, c. 1760, Qianlong Period. A Finely painted in famille rose enamels, with nine Luohan in a river landscape, one with a tiger, and one observing a dragon emerging from the river.
The handle with a Ruyi head terminal, whilst the mug is set upon a pedestal foot rim, gilded with scrollwork.

Height – 13.5 cm, 5 3/8”.

Diameter – 10.2 cm, 4”.

Condition – Typical wear to the gilding. No damage. No restoration.
