Chinese porcelain ginger jar and cover, c.1890, Qing Dynasty. The jar painted in famille rose enamels, with butterflies flying around flowering plants. Having a continuous whorl motif painted around the neck.
The domed cover painted with a flowering plant.
Height – 15.5 cm, 6 1/8”.
Diameter – 12 cm, 4 3/4”.
Condition – Typical minor wear to the enamels. No damage. No restoration.
