Chinese porcelain ginger jar and cover, c. 1890, Qing Dynasty. The globular jar, well painted in famille rose enamels, with vases and jardinières holding flowers, and plants, some set upon stands, divided by Buddhistic emblems.
The neck with a band of Ruyi head motif, painted with dense floral scroll.
A band of lappets rise above the footrim.
Having a domed cover, painted with a vase of flowers, upon a stand, above a key fret border to the rim.

Underglaze blue concentric circles to the base.

Height – 20.5 cm, 8 1/8”.

Diameter – 18 cm, 7 1/8”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
