Chinese porcelain famille rose vase, c. 1880, Qing Dynasty. The tall, baluster shaped vase, finely painted to either side, with phoenix shaped panels of an eagle, and birds, amongst flowering plants. Dragon shaped panels, containing figures in gardens, adorn the lower half of the vase.
All upon a yellow ground, enamelled with butterflies amongst flowering plants.
The foot decorated with a continuous lappet motif, whilst the interior of the vase, and the base are enamelled in turquoise.

Retrospective Yongzheng mark to the base, between two chilong.

Height – 43.2 cm, 17”.

Diameter – 14 cm, 5 1/2”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
