Chinese porcelain ‘Zodiac’ vase, c. 1880, Qing dynasty. Hand painted in underglaze blue, with a large dragon descending from clouds, above a continuous scene of animals of the Zodiac amongst rockwork and trees.
The neck painted with panels of flowers, on a cell diaper ground, whilst the base is painted with stylised foliage.
Underglaze blue retrospective four character Kangxi mark to the base.
Height – 20.3 cm, 8”.
Diameter – 8.5 cm, 3 3/8”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
