Coalport porcelain comport, painted by Edward Oakes Ball, c. 1920. Finely hand painted with a view of Dryburgh Abbey, from the River Tweed, Scotland, within a gilt scroll border. Having an underglaze cobalt blue broad border, elaborately gilded with scroll work, and leaving branches, within a a gilt gadroon border, and having twin shell scroll handles.
Set upon a circular pedestal base, with further gilt scroll decoration, on an underglaze cobalt blue ground.
Signed – E.O. Ball.
Printed green factory marks, and titled ‘Dryburgh Abbey’.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
