Derby porcelain plate, Fruit, by Thomas Steele, c. 1820. Finely painted to the centre, with basket of fruit, set upon a marble plinth, by Thomas Steele, within an eight sided, gilt panel.
The rim is decorated with a continuous symmetrical design of vases, palmettes and scrolled foliage in gilt.

Iron red factory mark to the reverse.

Diameter – 22.5 cm, 8 7/8”.

Condition – Some staining to the reverse. No damage. No restoration.
