Derby porcelain dish,in famille verte style, c. 1790. The hexagonal shaped dish, hand painted in the Chinese famille verte style of the Kangxi Period, with a central panel of birds amongst flowering plants, in a garden, within a lappet border.
The actual border with phoenix flying amongst foliage, within a whorl motif, whilst the rim is lightly moulded, and painted with an iron red lappet motif.
Puce crown and crossed batons mark, pattern number 69 to the reverse.
Diameter – 24.5 cm, 9 5/8”.
