Derby porcelain Greyhound, c. 1830.
A rare and charming Derby porcelain Greyhound, c.1830. The beautifully observed Greyhound, hand painted in grey, with black markings, standing before a tree stump, upon a grassy mound base.
Having a broad gilt band to the oval base.
Printed Derby factory mark, in iron red, to the base.
Length – 6.5 cm,2 1/2”.
Height – 7 cm, 2 3/4”.
Depth – 3.8 cm, 1 1/2”.
Condition – Typical stress lines to the legs, and minor wear to the gilt. No damage. No restoration.
