Derby porcelain pot pourri and cover, c. 1815. The pierced, pot pourri, set upon elaborate gilt scroll feet, and moulded with three gilded rams heads, beneath the rim. Hand painted by Richard Dodson, with studies of exotic birds, perched on branches.
The cover similarly decorated, and surmounted by a large gilded, floriform finial.
Painted puce factory mark to the base.
Height – 14 cm, 5 1/2”.
Diameter – 11.3 cm, 4 3/8”.
Condition – Typical minor wear to the gilding. No damage. No restoration.
