Derby porcelain Pug Dog, c. 1770. The seated Pug Dog with clipped ears, painted in vibrant enamels, and wearing a collar with gilt bells. Seated on an oval rocaille moulded base, edged in turquoise and puce enamel, heightened in gilt.
Incised number ‘3’ to the unglazed base.
Height – 6.7 cm, 2 5/8”.
Width – 6 cm, 2 3/8”.
Depth – 4.5 cm, 1 3/4”.
Condition – Some typical minor wear to the gilt. No damage. No restoration.
