Dresden porcelain plaque, The Penitent Magdalene, c. 1860. Finely hand painted depiction of Mary Magdalene seated partially naked on a rock, at the entrance to a cave, turning the pages of a large book.
Before her, rests a skull, and an urn.
Within its original gilt frame.
