English creamware tureen, cover, ladle and stand, c. 1790, probably Yorkshire. The tureen having rope twist handles, terminating with flowers and leaves, standing upon a pedestal footrim. Having a pierced cover, moulded with floral swags, and surmounted by a large floral finial.
The circular stand, similarly decorated, and having a recess to accommodate the tureen.
Complete with the rarity that is its original ladle or strainer, the bowl of which is pierced, and having a swan neck handle.
Height – 16 cm, 6 1/4”.
Diameter of stand – 16.7 cm, 6 1/2”.
Condition: Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
