English pearlware cow creamer and cover, c. 1830. The Staffordshire or North England pottery cow, set upon a rectangular base, and painted with large puce spots, its horns yellow. The cow is accompanied by her calf, laid beneath her, on the grass coloured base.
The base with a single black line. All beneath a pearlware glaze.
Length – 14.5 cm, 5 3/4”.
Height – 12 cm, 4 3/4”.
Depth – 5.5 cm, 2 1/8”.
Condition – Cover and small chip to right ear restored. Otherwise in excellent condition.
