English pottery pearlware ram, c. 1830.
A large English pottery pearlware ram, c. 1830. The recumbent ram, sponged with puce glazed spots, black horns, snout and eyes, upon an oval mound base, sponged in green. All under a pearlware glaze.
North East English, or possibly Scottish potteries.
Medium: Pearlware earthenware
Height: 10 cm, 4”.
Width: 13.8 cm, 5 3/8”.
Depth: 7 cm, 2 3/4”.
Condition: Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
