A fine and large Flight Barr and Barr porcelain basket, c. 1815. Beautifully hand painted to the centre, with a titled ‘View of Malvern & Peasantry of the Country’, within a gilt scroll panel, and on a pink ground.
Having a broad border of overlapping leaves, heightened in gilt.
The entwined handle, terminating in moulded acanthus leaves, and gilded.
The basket set upon four gilt lion paw feet.
Script factory mark, and Coventry Street, London address, along with the subject title to the base.
Diameter – 25 cm, 9 7/8”.
Height – 13.5 cm, 5 1/4”.
Condition – The handle has been professionally re attached to the basket. Otherwise in excellent condition.
