German porcelain tea caddy, probably Meissen c. 1740, with 18th Century ormolu mounts. The rectangular caddy, well painted ‘en puce camaieu‘, with scenes of figures walking in rural settings; the sides with further rural settings.
Having a gilt scroll moulded shoulder, similarly decorated.
Mounted with an 18th Century ormolu cover, cast with leaves and a flower.set upon a rectangular ormolu base.
