A Japanese Imari bowl, Arita, c. 1890, Meiji Period. The heavily fluted bowl, well decorated in typical Imari style, with panels of stylised flowers, upon a heavily gilded ground of textile motif.
The exterior of the bowl, similarly decorated.
Curvisive Fuku mark within a seal, in underglaze blue within a broad footrim.
Diameter – 26 cm, 10 1/8”.
Height – 7 cm, 2 3/4”.
Condition: Typical minor wear to the gilding. No damage. No restoration.
