Japanese bronze okimono of a lion, Kyoi Masatsune.

Japanese bronze okimono, signed Kyoi Masatsune, 京井政常, Meiji Period. Powerfully cast, as a large, seated, roaring lion. It’s mane well delineated, and tail raised.
Set upon an original carved, hardwood base, cut with a notch, to accept the lions left paw.

Cast four seal mark to the base for Kyoi Masatsune,京井政常.
