Japanese cloisonné vase, c. 1890, Meiji Period. The baluster shaped vase, attractively decorated in the style of Namikawa Sosuke, with a bird perched amongst autumnal leaves, on a branch. Worked in silver wire, and beautifully enamelled.All on a black enamel ground.
A continuous band of stylised lappets to the footrim.
Height – 15.5 cm, 6 1/8”.
Diameter – 7.5 cm, 3”.
Condition – No restoration.
