Japanese Imari porcelain vase and cover, c. 1890, Meiji Period. The hexagonal vase, painted with panels of flowering plants in vases, upon a low table.Two further panels of textile motif, upon a flowering ground. Lappet border to the shoulder of the vase, beneath a rim of further stylised floral scroll. The cover, similarly decorated, and surmounted by a teardrop finial.
