Large Japanese porcelain ‘Imari’ double gourd shaped vase, c. 1890, Meiji Period. The tall vase, painted to either side, with panels, containing scenes of pine trees, and bamboo plants, divided by two large Mons, on a dense floral ground.
The top of the vases, painted with panels of Phoenix, and stylised flowerheads.

Height – 42 cm, 16 1/2”.

Diameter – 18.5 cm, 7 1/4”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
