Staffordshire pottery figure, John Wesley, c. 1830. Modelled as Wesley preaching from an open bible, held in his left hand. He stands with his right hand raised, upon a square pedestal base, painted to simulate marble.
All under a pearlware glaze.
Height – 15.5 cm, 6 1/8”.
Width – 6 cm, 2 3/8”.
Depth – 5.5 cm, 2 1/4”.
Condition – Repair to small chip to the edge of the bible. Otherwise in excellent condition.
