KPM Berlin porcelain cup and saucer.

KPM Berlin porcelain cup and saucer, c. 1870. The spirally moulded cup finely and exuberantly hand painted with a group of three chickens  and butterflies, beneath a gilt swagged rim. Having an elaborate branch handle, terminating in moulded leaves and berries, heightened in gilt.
The similarly moulded saucer, painted with exotic birds, and butterflies.

Height of cup – 6.5 cm, 2 1/2”.

Diameter of saucer – 13.5 cm, 5 3/8”.

Medium: Porcelain

Condition: Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
