Kutani porcelain okimono, Japan, c. 1900. Meiji Period. Finely modelled as a sleeping cat, its hair delineated in gilt. Wearing a fabric collar, enamels in iron red, with a turquoise lining, and spots, and having two gilts bells attached.
Height: 7 cm, 2 3/4”.
Length: 19 cm, 7 1/2”.
Depth: 10.5 cm, 4 1/8”.
Condition: Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
