A large Kutani porcelain okimono, Japan, c. 1890, Meiji Period. Unusually modelled as a seated tiger, with her cub climbing onto her back.
The group, well modelled, and naturalistically coloured in typical Kutani enamels, with the addition of gilding to the cubs stripes.

Height: 19 cm, 7 1/2”.

Width: 21.5 cm, 8 1/2”.

Depth: 13.5 cm, 5 1/4”.

Condition: Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
