Meissen porcelain group, ‘The Good Father’, c. 1870. Modelled as a family group of a father seated on a settee, playing with his children. He holds his baby, whilst lifting his daughter with his left foot and hand, his young son grabs his right leg. He wears a gown painted in Indianische Blumen, and a hat. A spaniel is seated to the right of the group, on an oval, grassy mound base, edged with a continuous lappet moulding.
Blue crossed swords mark, and incised model number ‘H90’ to the underside of the base.

Width: 16 cm, 6 1/4”.
Depth: 12.5 cm, 4 7/8”.
Condition: Excellent. No restoration.
