Meissen porcelain plate, c. 1870. Vibrantly hand painted after Francois Boucher, with a scene of figures in 18th Century costume, resting in a garden, before a large stone pedestal, supporting an urn.
All within a shaped underglaze cobalt blue border, decorated with elaborate gilt scrollwork.
Underglaze blue crossed swords mark to the reverse.
Diameter – 24.5 cm, 9 5/8”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
