Minton Porcelain Box and Cover, Christopher Dresser Design, circa 1870

Minton porcelain box and cover, designed by Dr Christopher dresser, circa 1870. The moulded box, set upon an integral stand, decorated in Chinese cloisonne taste, with stylised floral motif, upon a turquoise ground, heightened in gilt. The cover similarly decorated.
Printed mark in iron red to the base.

Measures: Height – 7.2 cm, 3 6/8”.
Width – 5.2 cm, 2”.

Condition – Typical minor wear to the gilding – please see images for detail. No damage. No restoration.
